OUR HISTORY
The word èª in our logo stands for sincerity, and is a value we have stood by since Makoto-Ya (SG HQ) was established in 1992 and we carried this messaging across the borders when Makoto House was set up.
Makoto House has since grown from a distributor carrying just two products to today’s portfolio of over 1,000 different items across 200 different brands and labels.

Our work has been recognised by many institutions, and Makoto-Ya (SG HQ) has also been recipients of many prestigious awards, including the 2020 SME 500 Award, 2011 Singapore Brands Award and the 2010 Successful Entrepreneur Award.

Beer
Sapporo Premium Beer is Japan’s oldest beer, brewed since 1876 and enjoyed up till this day. It is a refreshing lager with a crisp, refined flavour and a clean finish. The perfect beer on a hot sunny day.
Sake
We hold the sole distributorship license for many exclusive sakes. With close working relationships with the makers and brewers, we also strive to bring across the latest labels from Japan.
Shochu & Liqueur
Bringing you the finest liqueur such as umeshu and shochu made from barley, sweet potatoes and more. We continue to strive to bring you the latest products, exclusively imported from Japan.
Event Support Services
We also provide support for events and services for companies. These include celebrations such as opening ceremonies, company anniversaries, as well as ad-hoc sake tasting or pairing sessions.
